#6: Tools of the Trade

Before I get too far along in these screencasts, I thought I would introduce you a little to my working environment and explain the tools that I use. First off, I work on a Mac, so these tools are Mac software. This isn't an endorsement of any particular working environment, I just want everyone to know, see, and understand what these programs are that I will be switching back and forth between in upcoming podcasts.

    Chris,
    What software do you use to record your podcast episodes with screen capture in CSS Tricks?
    Thanks for the skinny…love these vids.

Posting Code

We highly encourage you to post problematic HTML/CSS/JavaScript over on CodePen and include the link in your post. It's much easier to see, understand, and help with when you do that.

Markdown is supported, so you can write inline code like `<div>this</div>` or multiline blocks of code in in triple backtick fences like this:

```
<script>
  function example() {
    element.innerHTML = "<div>code</div>";
  }
</script>
```
