WP 3.0 and CSS problems. I´m looking for help.

Hi everyone,

I need your guide and advice. I´m the director of Chapingo´s University Media Departament and I´m a designer, that´s why i preffer to use WP as CSM. I recently upgrade to WP 3.0.1 from 2.8. so, I was making our new website with new WP, but…

The Problem:
If you look at my mokup on XHTML, you´ll see that it´s working just fine:

It´s valid code, organized and so on and so forth. You can see both logos (Chapingo and Medios) as well as the main navigation working well with the roll over effect.
Then, i sliced up the design as a theme with the loop and now the images are gone, and the main nav is not working:

I presume that WP 3.1 has something to do with that. What can it be? Support for HTML 5 and CSS3 can make a conflict as a result?

I don´t know.

How did i Test it?
1. When I saw that the XHTML mock up didn´t work as a WP Theme I try using one of my old ones.
2. I replace images and all and I did´t work!

The CSS are working fine and I try to use valid code. When I updated my WP to 3.0.1 on those sites everything was just ok. So, when my code broked up, i tried to copy and pasting my “working themes”. As the rayacosta and clubdemamas themes are working fine, I decided to use them as a template so I started to twicked them I just got the result that you see. ?

Any clue?

Testing Browsers:
Moxilla Firefox 3.6.8 (the main nav links are broken you´ll see the word contacto in all of them).
Safari 5.0.1 (can´t see the background)
Chrome 5.0.375.127 (can´t see the background and the test version site)

OS:
Mac OS X 10.6.4

Please Chris-CSS-HTML-WP-All-mighty, guys, Can you give me clue? What I´m doing wrong? I upload the images, I tested with Mamp and nothing. I uploaded to the final Server and nop. I don´t wanted to go back with WP 2.9.
