hi guys,
this is really doing my head in. just simply i am using the 2010 theme and i only want to show 1 post on the front page. on other pages such as categories i am happy to show 10 posts per page. so in the dashboard i have kept it as 10 posts per page…
the problem with this, is that for some reason when you click to view older posts, it goes to page 2 but shows the same post. just the most recent post on each page!! i need this to show the posts from before, like it should
in the loop.php i haven’t touched anything at all. but the home.php is for the home page… this is what it was…
/* Run the loop to output the posts.
* If you want to overload this in a child theme then include a file
* called loop-index.php and that will be used instead.
*/
get_template_part( 'loop', 'index' );
?>
but then someone told me that i should change the query for paged pages so i added this instead
query_posts("posts_per_page=1&paged=$paged"); //returns only the front page ?>
this doesn’t work either!!!
please help me obi wan… you’re my only hope! x x x
hey for some reason it works now!!!!
sorry about that… so i guess if anyone is reading this and has the problem i described simply replace the code with the second section of code i pasted in because this will fix it!
sorry to everyone for wasting your time! ;)
