    There is tiny question in my mind

    I’m seeing many developers are using dark background in their development environment, like code blocks in css-tricks.com
    Is there any logical reason for this?

    Is it effects productivity or creativity or laptop power saving or something?
    Any idea?

    Nothing to do with saving power, just your preference of what to look at. Some people prefer a darker background, in some cases it can be easier on the eyes. At the end of the day there are many different themes out there that you can use!

    I love using..

    font-family:'Monaco';

    I tend to use a pastel kind of background with sharp colors for contrast, i have damaged eyes so it helps me. I never could get into the dark backgrounds, i’m sure its just user preference.

    I prefer dark backgrounds myself, I have no other reason other than personal preference. The Solarized (Dark) theme in Sublime Text 2 is my current favorite.
