hello,
I want to make the underline in my hover shaped like a wave. I’ve tried a lot but can’t figure it out.
Theoretically you could do this by setting
text-decoration-style: wavy;
Source: https://developer.mozilla.org/de/docs/Web/CSS/text-decoration-style
Unfortunately it’s currently only supported in Firefox. Achieving this effect cross-browser is a bit trickier and is probably only possible by using a repeating background-image.
You can cheat it by using the tilde character ~
and messing with the letter spacing …all wrapped up in a pseudo-element
Helllo MattDiMu,
That’s what I thought at first but, I don’t know why but he doesn’t respond on that code.
Hey Pauly,
that doesn’t work it needs to be one wave not more.
Then you really need to show us how this is supposed to look.
You will need an image for that…CSS can’t make that shape.
SVG maybe, or icon-font but an image would be simpler.
