    > Wow. I had no idea you needed an account to click the hearts.

    Probably a good thing, no?

Sure makes voting more legit. Sure is annoying. To me at least.

    Definitely better this way.

    > I really hate opening accounts just to vote but i’ll do it for @CrocoDillon

I really appreciate that! :) Signing up with GitHub made it less annoying I hope.

    > Wow. I had no idea you needed an account to click the hearts.

Apart from the legit voting issues I think it’s to give it more of a social feel, to be able to see who hearts what.

    Thanks for all the votes!

    > We won’t promote any Pens involved with the Rodeo until that challenge is over, as to not give anyone an unfair advantage.

And yet one entry made it to the front page… is anyone else seeing that?

Same here. Probably a mistake (22:31, 30 hearts).

Yeah, it seems I got promoted. Sorry for that, I didn’t want to.

    Solely for competitions, maybe.

    > And yet one entry made it to the front page… is anyone else seeing that?

I think these competitions need to be structured with clearer rules and guidelines and actually be followed by everyone.

@BaliBalo: Hey, didn’t see you here before.

Must admit I took the idea of absolute positioning the canvas from your Pen ;) A lot of canvas Pens bug out in alternative editor view (with the editors on top of each other), absolute positioning together with some changes in the resize handler fixed that.

Anyway, will see how they are gonna fix the voting now.

Yep, actually Bali posted an idea in a comment on CodePen blog and I agree that would probably give more exposure:

    > I think it would be cool if there were a link somewhere in the front page (a tab near “Tags” for example) to the current rodeo week pens so that every contestant get more visibility (and thus relies less on personal contacts). — @BaliBalo

Heh yeah, I’m kind of new. I’m reading css-tricks blog posts for a long time now but I’ve never been on forums.

For the absolute positionning of canvas, I’m glad my pens could give ideas to someone else !

Happy you agree with me on the blog comment too.

Thanks ! Wow I didn’t think I could win a challenge like that. Good job to you and every participant, there were really cool pens.
