I’ve written the code to my site and it’s pretty much done.
I want people to access my site.
1)What is first step, I’ve heard of Godaddy. What exactly is Godaddy?
2)Any tutorials that can help me?
3)I want my site to load quickly, how do I check on the speed of everything?
4)How large should images be? All my images are in PNG format. Example thumbnail size, banner size, logo size
Thanks in advance

I’d recommend staying away from EIG companies. Here’s a starting list for you in no particular order.

Some of the ones mentioned should use Litespeed servers, all except maybe Site5 and SiteGround.
A few places you can test for speed.

There are a lot of FTP programs but I use Cyberduck.
Why do you say to stay away from EIG companies? I’m currently paying 1.99 per month for 3 years?
They have been known for overselling their resources. Really it’s up to you, but to be quite honest, you get what you pay for. In three years if your website outgrows the hosting plan, you’ll be stuck with something you have paid for and no longer need.
You may also find it interesting to read the terms of service for your web host. Here’s an article that may help.
