the button element in firefox

ive never used the button elements before so i figured why not?
I thought it was a tag like any other element, just for semantic purposes…
well I must have ben wrong because I have a button and inside I have an anchor and nothing happens when you click the anchor in firefox, but it works in safari?

anyone want to shed light on this?

also the button appears a few pixels off where it should be in firefox.

Buttons are meant for submitting forms. You shouldn’t be wrapping links in buttons. See here for more information: http://www.w3.org/wiki/HTML/Elements/button
