    Greetings,

    I’m a newbie with regards to CSS, just looking for the correct technical term for the description below:
    A person showed me some kind of structural CSS.
    It’s like Adobe InDesign styles where you create some parent styles and create child styles based of the parents. When you change the parent styles, it also changes the children.

    What is the technical term for this?

    Could you be referring to .class?

    Were you using SASS, or something similar?

    Either way, I believe the term you are looking for is inheritance.
