sticky footer css code – can’t enter negative px values

I’m new to html and css coding, so the answer must be simple…

I’m trying to enter the css code for the sticky footer, but I cant get the “margin-top: -150px;” to accept negative values for px. I’m using Bluefish. I can enter positive values, and the Bluefish editor shows them as “colored blue”, but when I enter a negative value, it remains greyed out.

Any ideas? Thanks
