sticky footer again

  • # July 10, 2008 at 5:04 pm

i know this has probably been discussed a lot here, but am having a problem with the sticky footer on this site. i thought i had written it out correctly, but obviously somethings gone wrong.

if someone could take a look at it, would be muchly appreciated.

The problem you are having is that the things inside your page-wrap are absolutely positioned. Since they are taken "out of the flow" your "push" div is actually just sitting up at the top of the page and not really doing it’s job. You’ll need to cut out the absolute positioning and find a different way to push down that content. I didn’t dig too deep, but it doesn’t seem very complicated, perhaps just some top padding will do. Then the content area will be back "in the flow" and the footer should work.
