    On my current site I have a sidebar that is a different color than the background:

    I would like to do the same thing on my new site but I’m not exactly sure how to do it since I don’t have access to the actual CSS files; I can only add CSS in the site’s template configuration panel.

    Ideally I’d be able to do the same thing I have on my current site. A black sidebar that has some white to the left of it. But, beggars can’t be choosers so if only a black sidebar is possible I’d be happy with that as well.
