I’m looking for a php oop tutorial where you actually have to build something, its the best way to learn, there a plenty of tutorials that explain oop but I can only find the one Chris has already made that creates something.
I don’t mind paying but it would have to be really good – Written, Video or books are fine.
Many Thanks
Chris
Hey Chris,
If I’m not mistaken, this tutorial should fit the bill: http://www.killerphp.com/tutorials/object-oriented-php/
Thanks for the reply, I was just looking at there selection of video’s and in php they have a play list and then the same play list but with [cc] appended onto the end, so for example 1 play list is,
1. Beginners PHP but then they have
2. Beginners PHP [CC]
And i cant find an explanation for it… Do you know?
Look for lynda.com tut

I was going to suggest Lynda.com as well. Look for vidoes by Todd Perkins…he’s great, and I just finished one that was OOP with Actionscript 3 where we built a nice image viewer. Good luck!
I suggest you buy the ‘Object-Oriented Programming in PHP’ series from Jeffrey Way of TutsPlus. It’s a 3 part series, $7 each. During the course you are going to build a great MySQL Class.
