Without a demo in Codepen it’s hard to offer any pertinent advice.

But essentially, you can’t. The browser window is as tall as you set it, in most cases it’s 100% of the screen high…so I’m not sure what it is you are trying to achieve.

However, the most logical alternative to to make sure the footer is always at the bottom of the page…and there are multiple techniques for that.

    in another way:
i have an area below the footer- how do i delete this, so the footer will be the lowest part in the layout?

    You can’t.

The only thing you can do is move that space above the footer.

..but again, without seeing your minimal code* in a Codepen.io demo it’s hard to comment further.

*Not all the code, just enough to show the problem.
