I am looking for a content slider (image/image+text), but fail to find one which is is performant, both in regards to page-load and animations. I am looking for a slider which has the following features:
– Slide animation powered by vanilla JS or CSS
– Lightweight
– Fast loading
– Responsive
– Open Source
– Support for manual controls (e.g. clickable right and left arrows)
(- Support for lazy loading images)
When doing some googling I found the following image slider: “Ideal Image Slider” (https://github.com/gilbitron/Ideal-Image-Slider). However, it does not support text-on-images.
Does anyone any suggestions on a slider which would fit my needs? I am building a website which focuses on performance, and I do not want the slider to weigh the site down too much.
