If anyone could help me on a problem with jQuery i’d be very happy.

On the right side at the top is the usual login form with links for registration (Registrieren) and contact (Kontakt). If you click on those links, a div appears and jQuery loads the appropriate content.
Now what I noticed is that when this div appears the whole page gets really sluggish. The scrolling isn’t smooth anymore. I also adapted the page for Mobile Safari. There the effect is even worse.
Maybe someone can tell me if I could improve my scripts or anything else.
