Linking from external source to specific slide in Anythingslider (using a wordpress template)

I have read and tried all of tutorials on css-tricks about doing this. However, i am trying to add this functionality to a customized wordpress template. Not sure where to put each code…

I am having a similar issue with trying to add font-icons to my site as well. Any guidance would be appreciated. From the tutorials i understand how it works, but i cannot figure it out with my situation.
