My dad asked me to create a letter head for him but i have never done this before. I have designed something in illustrator. Do i now print this onto loads of papers and then put these bits of paper into the printer again when he needs to print a letter?

No, import your logo as an image into Word, using Insert > Picture > From File and then save out that page as say, letterhead.doc. So every time your Dad opens it, the logo is already there and he just has to write in his content and “Save As” and rename it.

At work here, we have letterhead paper ready to go. We get the paper from a printer – it’s cheaper than using our own ink.

I will also add, that sometimes you’ll want to have hand-written notes on your letterhead – it’s best to have it printed already.
