I’m starting a new discussion after an older one got messy and off-track. With many many thanks for the help provided by jamy_za, I got my animated/sliding/bouncing navigation working wonderfully in a test fiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/2RqmU/38/

The last “icon” (search) was a late addition, and one that works fine in the fiddle (except for it queuing actions in a way that “stop” isn’t fixing).

But, the last icon didn’t migrate as well into my dev site: http://dev.aintyomamasblog.com/ It’s getting stuck in the “lowered/hovered” state.

Any ideas on what’s going on? I’m sure I just screwed up something small on migration….

    Thanks in advance.

Well, that was frustrating. Turns out my theme automatically loads an old version of jquery that was in conflict with 1.6.2. Remmed out the theme-provided code, linked to the Google repository, and voila.
