In WordPress, do you…

When making a page in which you want to display x amount of posts from a certain category, do you:

1) Create a new page for the category and then put a loop in the template file for the page displaying the posts

OR

2) Go to menu and add a menu option displaying the posts from a category.

Which is the better way of doing it?

Personally, I would create a new template. It’s quick for me and I haven’t particularly been told there’s a better solution (but I’m certain willing to hear one).
