IE9 Check

  • # March 2, 2012 at 11:25 am

    Hey guys,

I think my boss’ computer is messed up. Our website keeps getting screwed up in his browser…only his. I just need to know if it’s because of IE9 or his computer. Can someone check this page in IE9? In his, the lightbox for the image at bottom left is not functioning properly. It shows the enlarged image as soon as he loads the page. Please take a look.

    Thanks in advance

Hey, haven’t got IE9 at the moment, but press f12 and check the browser mode and document mode is set to IE9 and not set to quirks mode

It works now. It wasn’t set to quirks mode but I changed the browser mode to IE9 Compatibility mode and that seemed to have done it. Thanks @karlpcrowley I wouldn’t have thought to check that.

you can force the page to always using the best mode with this line in the head of your document

Thanks again @karlpcrowley I’ll do that right now. Great advice.
