Icons and div alignment headaches!!

Hey guys, newbie developer here. What I want to achieve is a two column paragraph layout with an icon and a caption above each paragraph, I want the text and icons to be centered over the underlying paragraphs and obviously for them grow and shrink dependant on the viewports size. Any wizards that could help me with that? Two hours of this mission has finally brought me to the sacred temple of front-end development, not w3, not stackoverflow but instead !!
