Hello!, I just recently started working with the Foundation framework. I’ve used the 960.gs before but that’s about all the experience I have with frameworks. Normally I just write my own code and implement designs from scratch.
I was just wondering what’s a good practice when it comes to implementing frameworks into your workflow. Should I leave everything just as is and overwrite the styles (creating a tremendous code bloat) or should I tweak the code from the source itself.
I never liked overriding styles with !important down the line but foundation is huge (and if you ask, yes, it looks like we’ll be using pretty much all of its features). I won’t be the only guy touching source code but I’m working with it first. How should I approach this? it looks like I’ll be modifying about 40% of the code here. Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.
