in CODEPEN:
is there extra code needed below so that the image shows up in the preview box?
<img src="images2014/photo-event.jpg" alt="2013 Winter Brunch event" />
Does that image exist on codepen.io?
For an image to show up on Codepen.io it must be hosted on the web.
If you are Pro member you can save images as ‘assets’ and re-use them as you want.
If no, there are many free image hosting sites that will provide you with hyperlinks…I use Photobucket.com but, as I said, there are many others.
Finally there are ‘placeholder’image services like LoremPixel.com (http://lorempixel.com/) that will provide you with images of pretty much any size you want.
Like cats? …another is placekitten.com (http://placekitten.com/)
Thanks so much! I’m totally NEW to Codepen. I didn’t even know stuff like this existed until about wk. ago.
My image is only in images folder of my website:

I’m not pro version so thanks for the link to site to handle my images!!!
BTW I love cats! And I think your id pic is hilarious.

To be clear, you can use images from your own site. You just need to use the fully qualified URL (i.e., http://yoursite.example.com/path/to/image.jpg
) instead of just the image path part.
excellent! That is definitely easy to do.
