footer not inheriting container background

Hi Guys,
Please can you take a look at http://www.flippineck.org.uk/index1.html and you will see that my footer, which is within the #container seems to be spillout out of the #container and not showing a white background. The parent #container has a background white. I tried doing height:auto on the footer but nothing is working. It’s weird to me but obviously something screwy! Thanks for your help in advance.

You need to contain the floats on the footer.

overflow:auto will do it but there are other clearfixes.
