External JQuery

  • # September 23, 2008 at 3:17 pm

I have been looking for a way to put JQuery code in an external file rather than right in the head of the document. I thought just putting in a separate .js file and referencing it like regular JavaScript but it doesn’t work. Is it suppose to work and I am just doing something wrong or is there something special that you have to do?

That should work just fine, you are probably just getting something wrong. You should post how you are calling that external JS file and its exact contents.

    Thanks Criss,

Everything does work just like javascript. The biggest problem was with my amazing typing skills and not being able to spot every typo the first time. Maybe next time I will check for typos a few more times before I start posting here.

    Thanks anyway.
