Hi guys, trying to get to grips with finishing a site. I preview it locally in IE and it seems fine but when I access it from my remote FTP it looks awful like IE is not reading any CSS etc. When I log on in Chrome it works fine. I hear that I need to change DOCTYPE but i’m not sure what exactly needs changing – I use this at the top of my script so far this centers the page well in Chrome and so the .js and .css work really well. previewing it from Dreamweaver also seems to work well? Could someone help please!! Headache!!!

Find it hard to imagine that a change of doctype could fix this type of problem…

Make sure you don’t have a comment before the doctype. This turns IE to quirks mode.
