    I am trying to find a way using PHP to detect what country visitors are from and then changing the currency that products are listed in depending on the country that they are from, is there anyway to do this and is it very hard?

    Here’s a free class that finds the country to the IP location.

    http://phpweby.com/software/ip2country

    You will need to write something to determine the currency based on the found location.
