Contracts and legal stuff for freelancers

Hi all,

I’ve just agreed to do my first ‘formal’ freelance work and I’m looking for some advise on some of the legal side of things.

I’ve read and seen a lot about contracts and terms etc. but I’m a little bit lost on what I’m actually going to need to make sure both me and the client are covered legally. Does anyone know of any good resources for freelancers in the UK for advice on this sort of thing?
