I’m new to HTML and CSS and have no experience with php.

Right now I’m using a wordpress theme (Tesseract) and have found myself slowly adding more and more complex CSS to specific pages. Sometimes, only a few of my CSS are displayed even though the code works flawlessly in jsfiddle or codepen.

Thinking the theme’s stylesheet may be conflicting with my little changes I deleted the whole stylesheet page just to see if my little code would work then. It doesn’t.

Theoretically, could the php files, a plugin or some other factor be competing with my custom CSS?

Please feel free to tell me I have posted in the wrong section, have violated some rules or am being too vague. I’m a newby on all accounts.

My site is on a local server, but here’s my code for the page.
