This may only apply to html emails viewed in Outlook, but what is the standard best practice for defining colors in CSS? Hex.. or RGB.. or does this even matter?
Thanks Nick
Either one would work…in case of doubt…use both!
Either is fine, it depends on your preference.
Watch out for rgbA though (where you’re specifying opacity as well as colour) because those can yield unreliable results in email clients where it won’t be transparent if they’re outdated.
Thats what I needed to know..
Thank you..
Nick
Hi Nick, I just wanted to chime in and say that for html emails, best practice when using Hex is to use the full 6 characters instead of the short version, so use #000000 instead of #000. I’ve seen the short form cause problems before. (Just another strange rule in the wonderful world of coding html emails!)
