Batang comes in two varieties: Batang and Batang Che. Both are Korean serif typefaces and come standard on computers in Korea. They were designed for typing Hangul characters, at which they do a good job. However, English characters set in either Batang variety aren’t very aesthetically pleasing and are rather difficult to read (almost no contrast between ascenders and descenders, for example). Unless your client plans to type in Korean, it might be a good idea to encourage him/her to look at other alternatives.
