    I just finished building a website with ugly URL file extensions. How do I change a file that’s named x.com/index.html to x.com/index

    I know this can be achieved with apache and the htaccess, but I have never actually done it myself. Any tips on where to begin would be great.

    Thanks for the link. Does anyone know how to install mod_rewrite? I’ve created the.htaccess file without properly installing apache. Is it fairly intuitive? Any more good links? The ones I have compiled have been difficult to follow.
