Not quite sure what topic this belongs under.

I’m certain this has been mentioned multiple times here but what I want to know, does it matter how your site is designed in order to accomplish this? I’ve noticed that most sites (that I’ve seen) with a WordPress blog, they usually have a header/banner. The layout that I’m working on will not have this. I didn’t complete the layout entirely because I wasn’t sure if this would be a difficult process for my layout.

Here is my test layout: http://matildagrace.co/test

Where it says UPDATES HERE, is it possible to insert a WordPress blog there? Please let me know if this is possible, and if it is, can any tutorial out there help me achieve this?

Any comments regarding this will be greatly appreciated!!

    Random question here~
I’ve actually been away from the web designing world for awhile, I’m noticing that WordPress seems to be the trend these days (maybe it’s always been out there) Is it better to convert my site into WordPress anyway? Can I fully customise a WordPress theme as if I were creating a webpage from scratch? As you can tell, I’m a n00b regarding these things.

I think this course might be the trick for you: https://css-tricks.com/lodge/artists-website/

I wouldn’t think of WordPress as a little module you stick into a little area of a site, but rather the thing that controls the entire site. Seems like with your mockup … WordPress would be a pretty good choice.
