hi,
I believe we all know this web
http://dowebsitesneedtolookexactlythesameineverybrowser.com/
but I found this neat web today and have to share :]
http://thereisnofold.com/
lifebelow600 gave me a big grin, and I agree… but still, I had to laugh seeing 37signals has now what was at the bottom at the very top of the page (too), above the fold. I take it they caved?
I worked at a web design company that believed in the fold. That was the worst 3 months of my life. The fold is a ridiculous concept. There is some use and validity in it, but the extent it has been taken to has ruined it.
http://thereisnofold.com is from one of my favorite designer’s, Naomi Atkinson.
Exactly. Less external files, less http requests, faster load time. But it’s more difficult to keep track of Hyll On Holland, so generally people don’t do that during development. But I don’t really mind as long as everything is minified.
