I produced the design, the client liked it, then he showed his partner a few days later after I’d begun building and he was the one who said it looked too corporate. That’s why we’re in this position now!
Hmmm…In that case, I’d go back to the clients and say, give me some examples of what kind of feel you are after.
I went through this with a recent website re-design. All I wanted was some prints of sites that had the look they were after. I’m not saying to copy what other people have done but just examples of what they are after.
Otherwise, you’ll just go through the whole iteration all over again.
Oh…and get sign off on the mock-up from ALL decision makers before recoding.
