Hi Guys,
I’m currently building a site and have designed a header which wraps the nav.
I’m happy with it but I’d like to see what it would be like fixed in that position. All my attempts so far have failed, it always stays to the left. I’m sure it’s down to the absolute positioned icons, but I don’t have the knowledge to sort it out.
I hope someone can help. Thanks in advance.
set the header to be full width and fixed with inner div inside of that centered with the rest of the page
Thanks, karlpcrowley
All that is needed now, is a height for the #header to initially have the main wrap below the nav. Is that correct?
I tried all sorts of different ways to do. Thanks a lot.
scratch that.
I just give the main wrap a top padding and its fine.
Some of the page is still on top of the nav, what z-index level should it be.
higher z-index numbers come out on top
so maybe give it a 10 to be safe
Mmmmm….. still going over nav
I don’t think I should have got up so early this morning. The nav didn’t have a background color. !*?!
What do you think this could be. I use coda (mac) and my background image keeps disappearing. Any thoughts?
