I know this is simple, but I am drawing an absolute blank.
I want to replace an image with another image when I click a button.
For example.
A map is showing the west coast of the United States. When an “East Coast” button is pressed I want the image to be replaced by the new East Coast image but I don’t want to reload the whole page.
If I use a link it just loads the image in a separate tab.
A test link can be found here, though the the images are not complete (ignore the quality).
Can this be done within WordPress without the need for a hack or plugin? If so, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Definitely not a WordPress question, although you’ll probably have to create a separate template for this page. Looks like you’ll need a little jQuery love here.
(I would provide something, but my jQuery knowledge is subpar!)
I was afraid of that. I try my best to avoid any JQuery as my comfort level is not very high. Couple that with the requirement to use WordPress and I’m in trouble.
Ok, it’s not necessarily solved but another solution I think is usable.
If I stick with creating tabs it simulates what I want to do but still forces a page load…. baby steps right?
Baby steps indeed!
