Morning – My first post and yes it’s probably a simple solution.
My first site, following Chris’ latest PSD to XHTML to WP, is here: http://www.mandinabamosque.com
Now, I’ve nailed the footer down to bottom with
position: fixed; bottom: 0;
but when the content is larger than the screen resolution it sinks behind the footer. I don’t mind the trees overlaping a little but dont really want to see the content behind the footer. I tried adding a minimum height to the main content = failed. I’ve tried padding and margin on the footer but again = failed.
Any clues please?
**NOTE – the site isn’t finished yet – navigation doesnt work yet as I’m waiting on Part 3 of Chris’ latest screencast and how to impliment into WordPress. Also the content of course.
Thanks
Brussells
"Position: fixed is not supported by IE 6 and lower".
This is what you want: http://www.cssstickyfooter.com/
Thanks Screencat – That solved it…..kinda…..footer not centering now but I’ll look into :P
I’ll play about with the height and margin-top values to the trees can still lay over the main content a little.
