I know this is a vague question, but I’m moving to Houston, TX and I hear they have lots of tech jobs there.
I don’t have a college degree or anything so it most likely be hard for me to find a good tech job.
My question is what code should I learn that is in need right now that might help me get a job easier there.
I know HTML and CSS (along with 95% of the world) that’s it at this point.
Any suggestion would be helpful.
Thanks
I’d suggest learning Javascript, first (not jQuery).

+1. I’m having a much harder time learning how to make JS interact with HTML than I would be if I had started with JS before jQuery.
In general I’d agree but on a short term it would be a lot easier to pick up on jQuery. Being acquainted with WordPress would probably also be a plus on any résumé (apart from knowing the php basics).
No argument there, I’m just taking the topic starter’s story in perspective and suggesting a few skills that wouldn’t take too long to get a grasp of but could still be good additions to mention on a summary.
