My site is currently being hosted on iPage (I messed up when signing up and fell for the big hosting prices. I know better now, and that is why I’m asking for help.)
My site is not currently on wordpress, but I want it to be. I manually converted my html, css and js to wordpress and uploaded the site. It turns out it is WAYYY too slow on iPage so I migrated back to my old site.
Now that my business is getting larger, I can’t keep manually editing the html. I need a backend. What hosting website should I invest in?
My site only gets around 1000 visitors a month.
What are the current specs of your hosting? I’d look at putting it on a VPS with a decent speed if you’re on shared hosting, which provider exactly is probably less relevant. I think that setting up the DNS through the (five) servers of the free service of Namecheap should be giving good worldwide connection speed.
Sounds like you made up your mind already, which would be a pretty good choice from what I read. These WordPress specialised providers do seem to manage to speed up things. You might not have the same ‘freedom’ as with a VPS but you’ll get online support in return as well.
I’m trying to confirm my decision. Your post actually changed my mind.
I would love to hear if others are “for” or “against” WPegnine
