Hello people,
I’m working on a website and trying to optimize it as best as i can(i’m pretty new to css3 ) and i’m trying to make a website with two columns ,one fixed one dynamic, depending on the content with the fixed one scrolling alongside the other column.
So my problem is that i don’t understand why on the #navigation div that i created and set the width and height to some properties act this way, shouldn’t it be the other way around, the parent div to take 100% height and width and the child’s(buttons) to take height and width of 65? How does this work and why it works this way if there is a someone who can help me :
http://jsfiddle.net/PD6hL/ – the example
And another question for the ultimate purpose of this problem is to set the left fixed div to always center and re-size to the middle of the screen,as of width and height 50%??
Hope i explain the problem properly and if not please tell me and i’ll try to explain more.
Thanks,
Victor
