I’m just curious… why do I see so many websites doing this with posts where the posts are not in one grid line?

Nothing against the theme, it’s beautiful, but isn’t this a usability fail? I can’t imagine trying to look or read through to the posts and thinking this is easy to scan. My eye is all over the place.
Blame Pinterest. But I don’t mind the layout, you can have different height/length content and it all fits nicely. I do agree it’s little busy and hard to follow. But for graphics it serves purpose.
I think it is fine if it has clarity. I feel that that site is not so bad. If I were to make something like that I think would use two columns and leave more space.
View the website on your phone or resize the window, each post fits perfectly but it’s dumb for desktops and large tablets. The widgets on the right annoy me more.
