I have done a complete wordpress install for my site. I have setup permalinks for the site. The problem i am having is that images aren’t working in post or pages because the permalinks keep taking over. The images are going into /wp-content/uploads does anyone know how to fix this please?
What do you mean the permalinks keep taking over?
Yeah they do so i keep getting the 404 page and not the image
Your site’s permalinks should have nothing to do with images. When do you experience a 404 error? When you try to go to a page?
Maybe you mean absolute paths?
Have you moved your site? That’ll screw with you src paths for sure…
I have managed to fix it. The problem was that i created the folder and didn’t let wordpress create it. So i deleted the folder and then uploaded the image again and now it has worked because wordpress created the folder itself. Strange very strange.
