simple twitter problem

  • # September 18, 2008 at 4:26 am

ok crew, after about 4 hours of coding somethings, i give up for tonight. soon as i think that i have everything complete, and am therefore able to go to bed, i notice something else wrong.
the thing that im noticing now is that when ever i post something on twitter, which updates on my site, everything is now within quotes. it wasnt doing this 4 hours ago. im not sure what ive changed, ive spent the last hour looking to no avail.
is there some simple feature, or something that i can change that will allow me to simply remove the quotes from my twitter updates. they dont show in my twitter account, only on the site.

im going to go to sleep now. hopefully i will wake up with some goodies under the tree = a solution

    good night all.

You’ll have to provide a link to your site. Usually a twitter api writes its tweets as a li span, so you shouldn’t get quotes unless your CSS is applying them.

It looks like you have placed some addition javascript to manage your tweets, and in that script there’s a line

    template: ‘"%text%" …

I’m wondering if you should remove the quotes from around the %text% ? I’m no javascript guru but it looks a reasonable bet to me.
