Redesigning my portfolio

Hey everyone,

I have been working on various things lately with school coming to an end. I have been working on rebuilding my site and today I got some inspiration on what to do for the design. I wanted to know what people thought overall, also I wanted to know if the rip was good as is or if it would look better with more text that you couldn’t really read. Also, what do you think of the button layout. This is just the header but the rest of the page(s) will be pretty basic.
