Most likely you will need jQuery.

Which one? There is no which one, jQuery is a language based on the JavaScript engine. jQuery just makes it essentially easier. There is no which one. jQuery is jQuery.

If you mean plugins, however, you’re a long shot off. You could probably use animation tween plugins such as TweenMax/TweenLite to create the click event animations. I wouldn’t hold your breath too much, you might be spending a lot of time learning rather than being creative.

Making something similar to style 01 can be easily done with CSS hover effects and transforms (I think).
