Hi, so I’m designing a longform article with a lot of big responsive images, all sized for retina display screens. This means the page load time is pretty long. I’ve never used any lazy loading techniques before, and in the one I found here you have to declare the width and height of the image (does this work using percentages?) and it looks like there’s an issue on iPad. Is there a better way to do this?

I’d opt against doing it. The users position on the page will shift as soon as the images start loading.

What technique are you talking about?

    This.
Does anybody know of any techniques with responsive images that they can recommend?
