How do you test in both IE6 and IE7?

  • # August 17, 2008 at 4:10 pm

From what I understand you can’t have IE6 and IE7 installed at the same time. So right now I just have IE6 on my windows partition running in Parallels for OS X. How do you guys test for both browsers if you can only have one installed? Do you have another windows install with another version on or what?

This topic might make a good screencast.

Yes that’s possible with Multiple IE

    I use IE Tester:

So if I go ahead and upgrade my windows partition to IE7, I can just download this program, install it, and then have standalone versions of the previous versions of IE?

With IE tester you don’t need a partition

in fact you don’t need to partition with these progs but mulitpleIE did have a fair few bugs in it.

    Recommend IE Tester…..!!

I have both ‘muliple ie’ and ‘ie tester’ on my machines and find ‘ie tester’ much easier to use. some people say that you may still have trouble if it is not an entirely native install of IE.
