Featured posts in WordPress using SmoothGallery

Is there a way to use JonDesign’s SmoothGallery with WordPress to make a featured post type thing? Like the one they use at tutorial9.net?

I found a wordpress plugin that uses SmoothGallery to make a featured post thing, but I can’t seem to get it to work..

Any alternatives? Thanks.

This is the original plugin. I don’t know if this is what your using already but it’s pretty simple to implement.
